The Galena Convention Center is proud to host the Third Annual Green Fair September 25, 2010 from 9 am to 4 pm. An event that is sure to be fun for the whole family, The Green Fair offers exhibitions by over 50 vendors showcasing various ‘green’ products, services and information. Throughout the day there will be demonstrations on sustainability and renewable energy, wine tastings from local wineries, local art displays, cooking demonstrations using locally-grown food, and plenty of activities sure to be fun for the whole family. General Admission: $5 (16 years old and under, free).
Back by popular demand, the Green Fair will also offer Recycling Collection open to residents and businesses of Northwest Illinois from 9 am to 3 pm. Recycle electronics, latex paint, lead-acid batteries (there will be no appliance recycling this year). A partial list of accepted materials includes: computers, keyboards, monitors, hand-held games, cameras, speakers, printers, telephones, cell phones, answering machines, fax machines, paper shredders, CBs, radios, stereo equipment, VCR’s, CD’s, Cords, stereos, telephones and much more.
